April’s Whinings

But to be fair, it’s only been on the market for a little over a week.

We’re prepping to go to MINIs on the Dragon. We’re going to use the FJ to pull the camper, Fuzzy driving, and I’ll follow in the GP. We’ve gone every year except the one that I was off the coast of Somalia and Fuzzy was in the Persian Gulf, but that’s another story. First year, I think we had around sixty cars and thought it was big, this year they are up to eight hundred!

Whenever we go to Costco, seems we always leave with more than we thought. Neither of us can resist the six month supply of toilet paper and other good deals. Well, on Monday we went to the peninsula Costco and there was a big yellow Toyota FJ Cruiser sitting out front. Fuzzy had been looking at them online, he liked the more refined driving and safety items versus the Jeep we had. So, we contacted the Costco buying program and traded.

Even if we get an offer on the house today, we’re not going to close escrow by the end of April. So we’re planning on making one last trip for MINIs on the Dragon. Almost no chance of getting a reservation at this late date, so Fuzzy is going to drive the Jeep pulling the trailer, and I’ll drive the GP. We’ll stay at the Fontana Village campground.

Yesterday we had the first looker at the house. A nice gay couple, about the same age as us. They loved it! They spent an hour here with Fuzzy as he showed them some of the features of the house. The older man said they had looked at 22 houses so far and this was their favorite by far. We think they may make an offer, it would be nice to sell to the first person to look.
